DBF Members Bottle and Keg Two Ales
This month, several Displaced Brewery Fanatics gathered for a common club purpose: bottle and keg that brew. Brewery fanatics, this is club beer from the sidewalk brewing that took place in April. We will taste both these ales, two months in the making, at the club meeting on Tuesday, June 28. Here is a report included in an email message from Tom Adams to Ed Stone.
Ed,
Sorry didn't get back to you yesterday, this weekend was way too full for even me!
I still haven't finished the roll of film in my camera, so no pictures of the bottling meeting.
Basic run down, sure Skip has already filled you in, is that we had just a few people there, Bruce, Jay, and the 3 new guys, only Trevor and Keith signed in, I can't remember the 3rd guys name.

DBF Club meeting, Bottling/Kegging of club made beer.
Meeting started approximately 7pm, went right into the duties at hand, however; club member and beer connoisseur Jay, brought some of his Wit beer to for us to sample, VERY NICE!!
We followed your guide lines for the evening;
1) Heated up water for the priming sugar for bottling.
2) Kegged up the 1st batch, hooked up CO2 (2 pics).
3) Showed difference between clean/dirty bottles (old vs new).
4) Sanitized the bottles (pic).
5) Added priming sugar to vat.
6) Added caps to Idophore (hot) to sanitize.
7) Racked off beer into bottling vat (pic).
8) Bottled beer (pic).
9) Capping of bottles (pic).
Skip demonstrated how to shake keg to aid in the carbonation of the beer.
Total on the bottled beer was 25 22oz bottles!!
Helped Skip with clean up of equipment, end of meeting.
Let me know if I have missed anything, was more like a bottling/kegging event, no club business was discussed, save for meeting in June.
Thanks,
Tom
