Beer Festival Tickets On Sale

Displaced Brewery Fanatics will be happy to know that tickets are now on sale for the Eighth Annual Summer Beer Festival, to be held at Riverside Park in Ypsilanti, Michigan. This year, the event takes place on Saturday, July 23, from 1-6 pm.

Beer enthusiasts will have the chance to sample selections from over 150 beers representing the craftsmanship of more than 30 Michigan breweries. Additionally, there is a fine selection of food.

“Aw, man!” raves DBF member Dan White. “You gotta taste the chocolate beer cake!”

Dan, who is moving to Florida with his wife in June, already has plans to return to Michigan so he can attend the festival. Last year, a cruise to Alaska forced him to miss the yearly tasting. He has collected T-shirts from each year the festival has been held, not including 2004.

Several members have expressed interest in hiring limousine transportation to and from the event. More information about this possibility will become available at regular club meetings and through this Website.

The annual event, sponsored by the Michigan Brewers Guild, will be held on July 23, 2005 in the Historic Depot Town. Tickets to the event may be purchased in advance by phone or over the Internet by going to the Michigan Brewers Guild home page, where visitors can get additional information.

And what is the admission price for all this fun? Just $25 in advance, or $30 at the park. Admission price includes 25 drink tokens.
